Believe it or not, this is not their worst international outing. In their inaugural game in 2002, they were shut out 24 to 0 by Estonia in a game played in South Africa!
According to a Wikipedia entry, their coach is a Saskatchewan native.
Nowhere to go but up. Go, Turkey, go!
P.S. This couldn't have been what Don Cherry was referring to after being fired from his coaching position with the Kansas City Scout, when he said, "it's hard to soar like an eagle when you're surrounded by turkeys".

After 2/3 score was 20:1, so if Croatia wants they could beat them with larger difference, and at teh end of match when Turkey score their second goal crowd was in delirium...

Don't forget about the Armenians who lost to Mexico 48-0 a few years ago.
The next year, the Armenians made a huge comeback and showed much more respectable play, even winning a few.
