Darren McCarty filed for bankruptcy last spring & now a Michigan auction house is selling off some of his assets, including the three Stanley Cup rings he won in Detroit.
Among the other items on offer is a collection of poker books. The books look very new. Perhaps McCarty never cracked them as his financial woes include $185,000 in gambling debts.
Hopefully a current or former teammate will step up and buy back one of the rings.
