Nobody hates the NHL

I wonder how the NHL's marketing mavens feel about the fact that not a single hockey player made GQ's list of the Ten Most Hated Athletes

Does it mean that hockey lacks "groin-kicking, preening, backstabbing athletes you most love to hate?"

What does it say about the NHL or GQ that not a single hockey player made the cut but some guy named Michael Iaconelli did?   Michael Iaconelli?  A professional bass fisherman?  Number 6 on the list? What could a fisherman possibly do generate hatred?  File down opponents' hooks? Tangle their fishing lines? Cut holes in their nets?  Shake up their Budweisers? Tell the truth about how big it is?  How come Phil Hellmuth Jr. isn't on the list? He's a big time poker "athlete" who wears a baseball hat and shades while playing - how jerky is that!

Anyway, drop us a comment if you think there's an NHLer that GQ overlooked.  Don't bother suggesting Sean Avery - that's yesterday's news.

Martin Havlat.
He fits the "groin-kicking" description.

Todd Bertuzzi. Seriously, he gets booed in every city *except* Vancouver, and I'm still boggled that Ron Artest's suspension for fighting in the stands was longer than Bertuzzi's for nearly killing someone.

Je déteste Shane Doan

TY DOMI, Darcy Tucker.

Good suggestions above...even someone like Jeremy Roenick is more hated than Curt Schilling.

Suggestions above hit the mark. Keith Tkachuk has always irked me. Whiny, overweight, hotel trashing primadonnna

GQ just came out with "FIVE WHO JUST MISSED THE CUT". Guess What? Still no NHLers.

CVFL (Central Valley Football League) football season has begun. The league contains 16 teams from all around central valley. The regular season games begin on March 1st., so all the league teams are prepearing and practicing hard. The Delano Knights, which i play for, will be playing a scrimmage game against the Kern Valley Aztecs on February 15. The Delano Knights didnt do very good last season, but this season we have gotten much stronger and more skillful, and the coaches are a big part of it. Well if...
